Energy & Persistence
"Energy and persistence conquer all things."
- Benjamin Franklin
I find I can't overcome obstacles unless I have the energy, and I don't have the energy unless I keep fit, get some fresh air, and eat right. This viola got stepped on I don't know how many times, and underneath the stone it grows in sandy soil. It gets enough minerals, water and sunshine though, and it blossomed just as nicely as its kin that live in a comfy garden bed.

But how much nicer it would be if there were some other violas near it that it could relate to.
Just goes to show, sometimes, even when being stepped on by circumstances beyond your control, it's you who decides whether to go on or not.
Not those outside of you.
Inner strength is mighty when you observe and accept it.
heartfel congrats to the viola.
Viola update: The viola has survived a savage nibbling attack by a small but hungry bunny. The viola is taking the attack in stride, with a 'stuff happens" attitude
Try posting small signs directing the bunny to the dandelions or the freshest blackberry shoots (you might want to leave little snips of them around). You might think small furry animal can't read, but I know from experience even bugs and slugs can get the message if you only contrive to make your point clear.
I love that picture.
