I just realized that you are the same Bob Dylan who visited my Words from the Northwest Woods blog what seems like an eon ago (March 26). So much has happened in the interim... it feels like a lifetime. And by oddest coincidence I just noticed you mentioned a book by Grey Owl.

And then I SAW an owl, a real one, for the first time in my life.

Anyhow, this picture is really beautiful, and the color itself is spellbinding - like a blue tourmaline, I think. The whole photo captures something that I can't quite name (though nothing should be captive, of course). Can colors do that? I remember reading that Georgia O'Keeffe refused to let her work be published for a very long time because she said each specific color she used was so very expressly intended, and it was impossible to reproduce exactly what each color said.

Or something to that effect. It didn't make it to my Quotes Journal.

Of course, she also said, "I hate flowers - I paint them because they're cheaper than models and they don't move."

That I find hilarious!

Bob, you inspired a post (and a comment from me, which somehow I failed to ensure arrived). I hope you will check it out.

Picture looks like a dark evening.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending I guess, Byron was right, huh?
