Steps

Some steps are not for getting anywhere anymore. Some steps are just for sitting on and watching the world go past. This is the same as stopping to smell the roses I guess.

This is for Kim's Theme Thursday.

Bob - Unfortunately, being proud is a terrible sin. As your friend T Bone Burnett wrote:

It's a funny thing about love
The harder you try to be loved
The less loveable you are
It's a funny thing about pride
When you're being proud
You should be ashamed

You find only pain if you seek after pleasure
You work like a slave if you seek after leisure

Yes, taking time to peer at the rest of the world is a very good idea.

Bars on your doors and windows can be a bit stifling though! ; (

Dennis imagines those steps have many smells on them.

Kurt, your sunflower was beautiful. You were right to be pleased.

Thanks for your comment on my SWF post, and for the link here - happy to have found your blog, too. Love the photos, words, and general quirkiness (I do hope you are complimented by that, it was my intention!) of it all. I will visit again!

Sometimes, steps are just steps. Or even stairs.

Not sure if the bars are to keep someone in or someone out??? Is that a gnome sitting on the steps - or do I have a vivid imagination???

Jules,

The gnome is a bottle of Gatorade. I don't know which one is worse.

& as the Chinese proverb declares:~
